A countries communications shouldn’t be tied to any one app. It’s becoming a national security issue and giving too much power to foreign corporations.
Maybe different features between users of the same app so that there is choice, but still having that fallback so someone on one app can still have secure communication with users of another app.
Currently the situation is like if you needed Gmail to email people with Gmail and Outlook to email people with Outlook.
