I just upgraded to Lineage OS 22. It looks almost exactly like 21 which looked almost exactly like 20…

    maybe by version 25 the linux phone will be ready and harware at least on par with an old pixel A model will be available for it.

      Can someone fork Android 8? For me that’s when it peaked from a UI perspective. Like the the theming and other cook features in newer Android but the UI sucks.

    The visual novelty of Android versions seems to have died out a long time ago. You may get the new features, but there won’t be anything new to look at.

        Cr droid has a lot of cool settings and it comes in two versions, gaps or without. Pretty neat but I do like the minimal Lineage os

          I don’t like how they swapped the music player. I feel like the new player is overly complex.

          However, I feel like Lineage OS is fighting the good fight overall.

    The theming decisions are really up to Google. I think complacency can be good in some ways, if you download from f-droid you’ll know that there’s a lot of discrepancies between the style and theming of apps. I think M3 is a good style and a good base for apps to build on, so there’s no reason to change it except wanting new.
