If this continues to be how most voters inform themselves, we’re completely fucked.
Trump made a lot of threats about shutting down news outlets and broadcasters because “they were mean to him.” They are now playing up to him and his bullshit because they don’t want him to act on it. The fact they’re doing this shows they have no confidence in any regulatory agencies or congress to stop him because Republicans control everything and will do Trump’s bidding. They’re just trying to stay in business and will play his dumb game, even though this will help make the country worse. I wouldn’t be surprised that after this term, just about every news outlet is like Fox News. Yes, that’s an outlandish statement, but with how things are looking and will eventually go, it’s still within the realm of possibility. That realm has expanded exponentially.
Because the media works for and is owned by the capital class.
Yeah, it’s clear he’s trying to distract with the ruse and the media is complicit.
That’s the whole point, let me make you focus on this so I can slip something else by, look to the shadows.
I’d say “add it to the pile,” but it’s so dwarfed by actual crimes that it’s hard to give a shit at this point.
