Why AI? You can’t just steal old fishing memes from around the internet like any other website?

This site even has the audacity to disable saving images. I had to screenshot this shit.

The text isn’t even an article, it’s just descriptions of the images. Probably AI as well

We can’t even have classic shit memes anymore

My conspiracy theory is that social media companies and search algorithms no longer feel like it’s nessessary to cater their services to actual human beings. All they have to do is generate traffic to make their money, and if that means filling their services with AI talking to AI then that’s exactly what they’ll do.

Social media companies’ share prices are all about monthly active users. And advertisers are all about impressions and interactions. They can keep everyone happy if the numbers keep going up and no one can tell if the accounts are authentic or not

The guy’s eyes in that first pic getting more and more unhinged as he slowly realizes the horror of his own existence. He can no longer form complete sentences, only babble incoherently as the machine supplying his thoughts falls to pieces.

It is so telling that their super machine can’t even write text. We are so cooked as a society if shit like this can captivate people. Fuuuck

AI can write text and it can create images. Why can’t it do both at the same time? You’d think it would create the text separately, then turn it into an image to to with the rest of it.

AI is probably too much of a black box that not even the people running it know how it works

It’s because it guesses what pixels should be adjacent to existing pixels and knows there should be a man and a fish in the final image. It doesn’t know what it is making, why it’s making it, what a joke is or how to put it in the comic.

  • …I…

    I’m dongting fishing excuse!

I’m condecting my impoferant aqwatic research!

(This one is actually pretty compelling, the way elements of fishing start to take over elements of the office visually over four panels is pretty neat)
