Done
You’re not exactly soaking to the right crowd here, what kinda shorts do you imagine we’d make?
You wanna see dancing nerds? Little 15 second lectures from awkward people who only sort of know what they’re talking about?
Yea that’s fine I guess. Sure. Anything is fine as long as it’s more than just the 3 people showing their cats that’s on their now.
I mean, it have his kind of appeal…
We got the most interesting asses online.
What is the little mouse app ? 🐭
🤣🤣🤣
Why is the wordpress logo in the Fediverse?
it uses activitypub, but after the drama with cofounder mullenweg it’s basically another asshole-controlled platform i would avoid
As someone who has used Wordpress, it’s a platform I would avoid.
Its open source, so just one fork of it, the main one currently, is asshole controlled. Thats a solvable issue with built in mechanisms to do so, and i recall part of the community is working on it.
That doesn’t make wordpress any less federated.
Federation does not make something good, either.
The ActivityPub plugin itself is also owned by Automattic.
Anyway, WordPress sucks even without shithead Matt.
I wonder if the plugin works with ClassicPress. Most are compatible.
It does have some nice backend
Thanks for the chuckle :)
The URL slug says “meth consumption”. Neat typo!
I got Lemmy, mastodon, pixefed, next cloud, friendica… What are the other logos?
Also, is there a site that lists all the fediverse alternatives?
Bookwyrm, WordPress, Peertube, Writely, WordPress …
It is very nice indeed.
i use lemmy, mbin, loops, mastodon, peertube and have previously used pixelfed and kbin
What, no Mbin?
Mbin is becoming the New Zealand of the Threadiverse
Not even sure I’m mad about it.
According to https://mbin.fediverse.observer/list, there are only ~1000 people using Mbin total these days, compared to like Lemmy with 43k and Pixelfed with far more.
Also Mbin’s primary claim to fame is connecting to both Lemmy and Mastodon, rather than being something on its own.
PieFed (with <200 users) is also overlooked for similar reasons, and Sublinks too (well, that one doesn’t even exist yet:-).
Or think of it this way: Mbin gets represented twice by two different icons in the image! :-D
Wow, I didn’t realize it was so small!
It’s still my favorite though (love you Mbin).
It’s such a great project that Ernst started off for us all:-). Now I am excited more by what PieFed and Sublinks will offer in the future, but Mbin too - all 3 are amazing Lemmy alternatives to the Threadiverse, and thus important to have.
wasn’t that kbin?
Yes, I mean he “started” it, even though he couldn’t keep up with it. I hope he is okay - when last I heard he was not.
I don’t know but I heard he was having some problems too. Hopefully whatever is going on improves.
