Hello c/Warframe!
First of all, I want to make a big shout out to @[email protected] , whose effort in writing the Weekly Warframe Revisited posts here are what got me back into the game recently.
I just crossed something like 120 hours played (across many different attempts to “get into” the game over the last 10 years), which I know is peanuts compared to many folks, but it’s a significant personal milestone. It’s very rare that any game holds my attention for that amount of time, though full disclosure compels me to state that, prior to this latest interaction with the game, I’d wager I didn’t make it more than 10 hours in any of my previous attempts.
So, thanks to Keegen and their work here. I’ll speak for all of my fellow lurkers (what are they gonna do, post something to correct me? I think it unlikely lol) by saying we appreciate the effort you’ve put into preventing this community from stagnating.
In an effort to contribute, do any of you have any moments you’d like to share where Warframe made you do your best 
?
I’ll go first. Important to note 100+ playtime hours. I JUST discovered this week that the handful of mods I have in my inventory which affect multiple damage stats are rewards for Nightmare Missions. I’ve felt like my main frame’s power level had plateaued for some time, and routinely struggle to take on enemies in the 40-50 range on longer endless missions. Cue me learning that I’d been (intentionally) ignoring the mode which grants the exact sort of reward that breaks a build through to that tier of content, and cue my Picard impression.
Most definitely has to be the first time I realised just how much Endo I’d wasted by selling off duplicate Mods for Creds.
I started grinding weapons before I’d finished the Star Chart, so I had no idea the Index was even a thing. Needed that cash money and had Mods aplenty. Wasted at least about 6 maxed Rivens’ worth of Endo. At the very least, maybe even double that.
And, of course, started floating millions of Credits casually after unlocking the Index. This was slightly worse than buying the blueprint for Orokin Cells from the Market.
Oh, yeah, PSA: do NOT buy resource/component blueprints from the Market! You will literally get hundreds of resources and components by the time you finish the Star Chart!
I was just saying elsewhere in here that I hit my first Endo bottleneck earlier this month and was ruing the mods I had sold for credits over the years. I’m certain it was nowhere near the amount you’re speaking of, but a bummer nonetheless.
Worse was the 7 day credit booster I bought with plat in December because I really wanted to rank up my syndicates.
Eh, Credit Drop Boosters (and Boosters in general) are the second most worthwhile Plat purchase in my opinion, right behind Slots. Especially if you flip some Rivens or farm enough Primes to have some disposable Plat left, popping a Booster can make life a lot easier for a while. Can also be helpful with MR grinding up until around MR18-20 - if one pops Affinity Boosters starting with MR10, they can sort of maintain the Rank Test frequency up until MR20. After that, I think it’s mainly just coasting through the items until MR30/Legendary.
I would’ve lost my mind if I hadn’t used Boosters while grinding for the Railjack, and even with both Drop Chance and Amount boosters it took about a week of playing daily for at least 4 hours (the Lockdowns were a magical time).
But, yeah, misusing Mods is painful later on down the line. Also a plus for Warframe, considering how long-term most choices are in it, be they practical or story choices!
My first purchase in the game was the spores needed for nova. No regrets.

In my case, though, I bought the Orokin Cell blueprint literally just before unlocking the Void, which is THE Cell farm spot… I could’ve used that Plat for Slots, which I really needed, because I was fast-tracking my arsenal by wasting Mods for Credits=)))
