What sorts of tools/apps/programs/etc do people use to journal or record their solo adventures? I would love to have a fancy notebook and roll physical dice but being realistic I think something I could run on my Android as either a web or native app and handle both dice rolls and journaling would be ideal. I’m currently considering RoleGate since I use it for some PBP games with moderate success but I’d love to hear what other people use or have considered, either as all-in-one or standalone journals/dice/etc to make a complete system.

You might find the comments here helpful. I use Foundry to run the game and Obsidian to plan. Foundry recently had a journal update that may help me move everything onto Foundry.

I use an app called Concepts for taking notes during games and drawing maps freehand. The infinite canvas is awesome. I have heard really good things about Goodnotes, but it is only available for Apple in a stable release (it’s in beta for Windows).

I have also been using Tana lately, which is pretty much the exact opposite. It has a somewhat steep learning curve but it is really powerful and it is so satisfying when you figure out how to use their tools to solve your specific issue. If you can figure out grappling in Pathfinder, you can figure out Tana.
