People are going to die and they damned well know it.
Typical vicious American: well they’re in prison, suffering is the point!
As an American I know these people. Very sad and very true. Prison should be about rehabilitation. Not cruelty and violence. The latter diminishes us all. Not just those subject to it.
Tired of “suffering is the point” being brought into every discussion, but it’s a perfect fit here.
At least one inmate has already filed a suit to prevent forcible integration and detransition. Hopefully the judge will grant an injunction to prevent any action until the case has been decided.
