Anyone here watching Silo? The 8th episode just aired which means there are two episodes left. So far I’ve been enjoying this a lot despite some people claiming it was a little slow in the middle. It’s only 10 episodes long so even the whole thing goes by pretty quick.

Wool, Shift and Dust are the names of the books. I believe the first season of the TV series will only get part of the way through Wool.

I see from another comment that you haven’ read the books yet. I don’t know if you have avoided spoilers, so I won’t g8ve anything away here BUT:

The books, especially Wool, takes a long time to build up to revealing anything big to help the reader understand how the characters ended up where they were. I fact it’s not until the second book that you start getting to the meat and potatoes of the story.

Given that, I’d suggest you get into Wool if you don’t want the series to possibly spoil the big reveal for you.

Honestly that makes the weird pacing of this season make a bit more sense. Not that I didn’t like it, just that it was outside of the typical narrative arc. For instance, basically introducing the main character on what was it? episode 2 or 3? Almost like the first two episodes were build ups to the setting and lore. Then show turns into a scifi noir.

There’s also the three prequel books in the Shift series (Legacy, Order, and Pact) that are really good. Explains how the silo came about to begin with.
