However, open support for fascists is a huge problem: it supports fascists, plus Proton may support them in other ways behind the scenes. It’s also breaks the trust that are indeed politically neutral - we can no longer be sure that they won’t voluntarily supply the fascist US “government” with data on their perceived opponents, or worse: actively help break encryption (eg by supplying keys that they keep a copy of).
