Exactly. There are Nazis they support. But I didn’t just decide to call them that- they call themselves that. Which is why Congress had to lift the ban on arming Nazis in order to send them arms.
If your reaction to criticism of Nazis is ‘wait- which Nazis?,’ you’re a Nazi supporter.
The undeniable urge for liberals to find middle ground with fascists is exactly why things have been allowed to get this bad.
It might be that you’re asking to see if someone is misusing the term. If you want to ignore that possibility, you probably don’t give much of a shit about nazis, but rather want to demonize a group for other reasons.

The last leader of the Russian space agency was a white supremacist, who went to nazi rallies in Russia. The guy who name the Wagner mercenary group had both an SS and nazi eagle tattoo. By defending Russia, when they clearly have no issue with nazis in their ranks, it makes you a nazi supporter.
Except I never defended Russia, because I oppose them, too. Maybe if you didn’t treat this like team sports, you wouldn’t feel so compelled to pick which fascists you’ll support.
