Reninstalled the system 5 times, each time immediately locking myself out, almost Managing ~35 machines without issues now though.
You can still f it up, mostly by messing with the bootloader (at least in my experience). Also the same can be achieved with stuff like zfs/bttrfs snapshots 🤷 But yeah, nixos rocks.
