A little funny, as I was recently looking into similar devices trying to remember an older one I used. Problem with each of these I’ve found so far is the price point is far too much given their constraints, including some very awkward ones in terms of file transfers/exports.

Not sure about the file export details on this one (edit after finishing reading, it’s not bad on this one!), but the price point is still a prominent downside of it:

Early backers can preorder one for $374, while full retail pricing will be closer to $499, with shipping expected as early as March 2025.

I prefer to call it a Manifesto.

I bet someone could roll a Linux distro that mimics this fairly quickly. Then you can install it on any laptop, what makes this thing any better?
