Yes, I unfortunately need the proprietary drivers. Unless the open source ones have gotten a whole lot better in the 4-5 years I’ve been using Linux on my desktop. I really hope AMD steps up their game because their cards are just worse performance wise.

They’re not perfect, but they are a lot better. Worst case just change it post install when you know nothing funky will happen.
Thanks! I’ll give the foss drivers a try. I doubt I’ll stick with them but I’d love to be wrong.
