So as some of you may seen, Lies of P will be getting DLC this summer, leaving people wondering what the story is about. Monday’s new trailer seems to imply that P somehow travelled back in time to when the Monad Charity House was invaded by Stalkers to kill all its inhabitants to halt the Petrification Disease from further spreading.
This brooch has an ‘M’ on it that stands for Monad Charity House.
This rose P picks up further implies that it’s the Monad Charity House given that it’s also called Rose Estate.
Plus, the female Stalker that talks over the trailer seems to be the same Stalker that can be seen in the desert-flashback in the area leading up to the Arche Abbey. She mourns P’s (Carlo’s) death and regrets being too late to save both him and Romeo from death.
Quite an interesting premise and dynamic. She’s probably spooked about P resembling Carlo, evidently not being dead. Really looking forward to how this’ll pan out
Edit: The female Stalker could also be the daughter that was allegedly killed in the massacre. Her tie to roses would suggest that
Really starting to look like what happened at the Rose Estate is destined to be Lies of P’s version of the Fishing Hamlet, planting the seeds for everything else to come. There’s been little doubt that Simon Manus orchestrated the mass outbreak of the Petrification Disease to assassinate Valentinus Monad and take his place as leader of the Alchemists, as well as kidnap Sophia and exploit her powers as a Listener for his own ends, but it’s not the same as being absolutely sure.
Speaking of Sophia’s father, does anyone else think he’ll have some sort of presence in Overture? That sculpture made of dripping blood that keeps popping up may well be in tribute to Valentinus, and then there’s that figure Lea was having so much trouble fighting for a couple frames in the trailer. He should be dead by this point in the timeline, but who knows anything at this stage?
