Only 8% of adults in the US have optimal metabolism. That means 92% have some degree of insulin resistance. Only ONE of the symptoms of insulin resistant is visible obesity. There are even more thin unhealthy people out there right now! (TOFI thin on outside fat on inside)
The problem is much worse then this article states
To be healthy is a luxury. To have enough time off work to exercise and cook a well balanced healthy meal is a luxury.
I’m in the keto / carnivore camp, and happily cooking that food doesn’t take a tremendous amount of time or expense.
Not with current weight loss drugs they won’t.

You can be obese and have nutritional deficiencies. In fact, that’s pretty common these days because you largely have to eat garbage to become obese.
In more optimistic terms: hunger levels at an all time low!
Have you met an obese person? It’s like they are never satisfied. Eating just to est.
