Hey starting up a deGoogling Community here on Lemmy simular to you know that other site… I’ll update the sidebar with alternatives and we can go from there.
I recommend Ecosia over DuckDuckGo. DDG is American and uses bing whereas Ecosia is European and although it uses bing, they are developing an independent indexer.
I’ve added Ecosia to the side panel. Thanks for the suggestion.
Alternatives from the other site have been posted. Very much open to changes etc.

Not claiming the sidebar I helped myself to that other site’s community lol. But good stuff.
Can you also add Panoramax as an alternative to Google Street View in the sidebar? It’s French, FOSS, and federated.
Thanks for the suggestion it’s added. Seems ok for a map, but the street view in Canada is almost non-existant
