Can’t speak for Germans, but I currently consider the US an outright hostile force. Not just because of Trump. As things currently sit, the country as a unit is currently working against my interests and I don’t have any indication that this will change in the short term.
That is pretty much true across the board unless you are Russia, Israel or Saudi Arabia.

The only country that should see the US as a trustworthy partner is Russia. It’s crazy to me that such a country once did everything it could to undermine the USSR, and now it’s playing the part of the obedient dog.

USA is not actually supporting Russia at all. No billions, no weapons, no politicians openly paid off, no politicians openly commiting treason in russian uniforms, no PACs, etc.

Yes, Russia is going to consider the US trustworthy after they seized their financial assets, destroyed their pipeline, sanctioned them and broke every security guarantee they made 😂

They helped resuscitate Europe with the Marshall plan and helped keep us safe through the cold war with NATO. We have seriously had a good relationship for all of living memory.
What’s forgotten, is that the USA did it for their own interests and became extremely wealthy in doing so.
Fast forward to now and assisting Ukraine is not just about preventing larger ambitions for Putin’s Russia, but helping Ukraine become a valued partner to EU, USA and Ukraine s benefit.
Trump is simple in his logic and very transactional. He doesn’t have a master plan and doesn’t understand long term gain for both parties. His actions make him seem compromised by Russia but I don’t know that it’s knowing on his part or just that he makes an easy asset to control by surrounding him with other more directly controlled assets. It’s odd, as he is so unreliable, that you would need a constant rotation of Russian agents. So, I wonder if the compromise is less transactional, but more a deeper psychological one. It’s pretty clear he’s got lots going on in terms of pathologies, but nobody is assessing him clinically in public.
As the USA burns all bridges, people are starting to wake up to not having America as a trusted ally. The consequences are significant and I imagine most countries will start to pivot away from the US, which will be damaging to the USA. Already Trump has blustered about those in bricks that pivot away from using the dollar. That will just be one aspect. I imagine us bases worldwide will be reduced or closed. China will step in to fill the gap for many. The EU will likely step up to do it for themselves. However, they will likely reduce USA trade and increase regulation on US software and hardware that will be viewed as a security risk, just like chinas is now.
The middle east stability is going to be the most unpredictable. In a post petrol world, will the USA continue to support Israel and Saudi Arabia? Trump seems to want to but he’s also unpredictable and racist.
The majority of those responsible for that are dead and it shows.

I totally get it, but you guys aren’t looking great right now either, a lot of the same right wing evil is rising up in every country.
Contrary to US elections, we actually have multiple parties. So even if a right wing party is the biggest, they have to work together with other parties to actually govern. Meaning they have to drop certain standpoints, or be in the opposition instead. The failsafe are there to not let a party reign supreme unless they have a 51% majority, which thankfully is improbable.
We had fail-safes. Lots of them. Slowly but surely they’ve been errored and erased and now there’s nothing to protect the people. Don’t have blind faith in any system and stay vigilant my friends.
