For me, it was The Monkey. Finally got a chance to catch it.

Personally I really enjoyed it. Had a lot of comedy elements that some whom dont enjoy the mix likely wouldn’t like but it really worked for me. Likely one of my favourite Perkins films so far.

You guys? Doesn’t have to be a new movie just the last you’ve watched.

My Bloody Valentine. Small Canadian slasher that was all but banned on release. My local indie theatre (the Rio!) Played it, with the director rocking a QA after.

For a 70s slasher, it’s got surprisingly good gore effects and whatnot. And some of the moat exaggerated Canadian accents I’ve heard. Solid B movie fun!

Drag Me To Hell. It was ok. Good if you don’t care that much. I enjoyed cracking jokes to my partner: “I think she might die!”

Smile 2. Yes I would recommend, it’s better than Smile 1. Has elements of Suspiria (the remake) and The Thing (1982) but is also its own thing entirely.

Fully agree with you on Smile 2 vs the OG. I’m super curious to see where things go for the next one!

Yes totally! They could keep on making Smile movies with different characters especially because of the ways it’s transmitted. Each film a different scenario.

I think Late Night With The Devil, though it did feel more like a thriller. Loved it.

The Evil Dead trilogy. Well, the first three movies, since the second one isn’t technically a sequel.

I do a Halloween rewatch every year.

And yes, I can heartily recommend it. They’re classics for a reason

Companion & The Substance (really good). Have my eye on a few Flying lotus films for next, especially Ash 2025 when it comes out.

the episode “playtest” of the third black mirror season.

    godlike.

20 minutes of joy, 20 minutes of horror and 20 minutes of psycho terror

Hostile Dimensions. A cool idea that’s obviously inspired by The Dark Tower series, but the acting was so fucking bad that i can’t really recommend it.
