Its a brilliant watch very well written!
Yes finished it last night. For being a 2-hour long biopic and not normally my thing. It definitely was very well written. Even despite knowing how it would end. Director still managed to end it with a gut punch.
Definitely very tightly written though. Almost a shame the rest of the band was basically background scene dressing. They’re all amazing in their own right too. But the casting was definitely solid.
Yeah the director apparently knew the band (he also directed the bands music video atmosphere) think he also did some photography too. Yeah biopics aren’t my thing they really are milking it rn tbh with the biopic genre. But as a massive joy division fan it didn’t dissapoint.
Yes it was definitely one of those warts and all things. Whatever artistic liberties he may have taken they were minimal. For the 2 hours it was on. It had my pretty much full attention. And not the rigging project I was working on.
