Hunter main since I started playing ~1yr ago, collected all the exotics and sit at 1810. There was a post last season which explained how to insta-juice your alts to 1800 using some War Table engrams in a specific way, so I set up an alt Warlock and Titan just do do spoils / free chest farming.
I crafted an Osteo for my alt to earn/level, it’s been the backbone of all PvE for this alt (I also cheated and pulled Wish-Ender just in case). In general though, I tried to earn every gun the alt plays with instead of pulling from the Vault (“it’s just an alt, don’t waste good stuff” I said).
By luck of the draw, pulling the past seasons gear using that Firefox extension I’d never claimed on this Warlock alt got me a really good set of spikey Ketchkiller armor (RNG was on my side that day!) So then I played Beyond Light to unlock Stasis and… wow, I really like Stasis Warlock. (the super is OK but not great, though).
So I kept going - Lightfall to get strand, Witch Queen and Shadowkeep playing as strand - about to start the Dreaming City campaign today. It turns out I like Strand Warlock too! The super is great, I’m using a threadling grenade based build. We’re at 1809 now trying to get those elusive final 1810 pinnacle armor drops while I earn strand meditations to unlock fragments. (grind)
Turns out, I think I like playing Warlock. Don’t tell my Hunter main.
I played Warlock for season 18 and 19 after being a Hunter main prior to that. I ran mostly Hunter and Titan last season but now I’m right back to Warlock. Arc Warlock feels really amazing right now. They nerfed Starfire protocol so I don’t feel obligated to run solar anymore when I’m in a fireteam either. Strand, arc and stasis are all incredible. Void is also reliable as well.
I’m leaning heavily into strand right now just to get those aspects farmed out (5 more to go), but I’ve seen some great builds for arc warlock I’m itching to try - I need (want) necrotic grips and I see arc is a beast in lost sectors in videos, once I get an easy farm arms day (chamber of starlight is my fave) I think we’ll have to give it a shot. I’ve only played it enough to finish Ikora’s intro quest and a few other minor missions which required arc class kills on the Moon.
