        Big exaggeration if you have ever lived there. The cultists have a strong presence and lots of power but they are a minority of residents in the city.

          The evangelicals control all major centers of power in the city and it’s the headquarters of multiple Christian terrorist organizations, like Focus on the Family and the US Air Force Academy.

            It’s a city of half a million people, most of whom have little or no connection to those organizations. And they just elected a politically independent black Nigerian immigrant as mayor. It’s a lot more diverse and complicated place than just a cult town.

      yeah they’re a fairly reputable paper on local issues but extremely conservative in general and should probably not be taken with much salt outside of Colorado-based news. this is also a reprint from an even more conservative/far-right outlet
