Just went to the Met Office website to see what the weather is going to do for the next few days here in “the except the North and West”. Right at the top of the page…banner ad from Royal Mail for Christmas deliveries! It’s not even mid-July!

    Went to book a Tesco delivery the other day and was greeted with this.

    The counter read something like 5760 when I opened the page. So the queue was moving fast. Which was nice.

    Thing is there are no christmas slots available yet anyway.

    You are not alone with that problem. A supermarket in Berlin had Christmas articles on sale this Monday.

    But they actually had a reason for doing so: The supermarket chain had a foto session of the products for the Christmas season advertising, and simply sold off whatever was left.
