    They also accused House Republicans of playing politics with the crisis in Israel, delaying aid for the Jewish State by tying support to cutting funding for the Internal Revenue Service, a favorite target for Republicans, rather than writing a bipartisan bill.

    Regardless of how you feel re: Israel/Palestine, gutting IRS funding as a part of funding Israel’s ongoing military action is absurd.

        I agree completely but even if you ignore all the politics of it they’re just such wildly different domains and it’s designed to be rejected on purpose so they can point the finger at democrats and call them anti-Semitic obliquely.

    US Senate blocks bid to aid Israel, because some dumb shit that’s totally unrelated was tacked on to it.

    Can we stop adding bullshit to bills that have nothing to do with the original matter at hand? How is this still a thing in 2023?
