Yeah this groomer needs to be fired, I assume they have no training or experience. This is a pretty bad thing to do to certain breeds.

Someone completely shaved my mom’s dog like this, and now half of her fur won’t grow back.
Yeah, post-shaving alopecia is a thing, especially in double coated breeds. (Which is part of the reason you’re supposed to avoid shaving them.)

Oh yeah. That’s the one breed I read about whose coat will get damaged if it’s shaved. I’m sorry to hear about the dog.
I did an image search: this one has been kicking around since mid-2017. There are various captions with it.
