    Tesla is saying you can’t sell to anyone without giving tesla a chance to buy it off of you. If they refuse to buy it then you can sell it to anyone you would like.

    I think it is reasonable to prevent resellers selling it for inflated price since there is bound to be shortages in the short term.

    In the long term I hope they remove it.

      That only partially true. They do say you have to allow them to buy it from you, but if they don’t want it AND don’t give you written permission, then you still can’t sell it, or they will disable the car remotely.

      Considering how many limited edition vehicles ended up having “market price adjustments” from dealerships, and the number of resellers that direct to consumer items like computer components and video games attracts, this actually feels like a new decent plan for the average consumer. If I had more faith in Tesla I would argue that technically it amounts to a one year return policy, but im sure they would restocking fee the hell out of it, if they realized thats what it was being used for.
