Toxic Workplace - Coming Clean

I wanted to share these photos of my employee handbook made to sign before the beginning of 2022. As you can see I started to sign but quickly realized how insane their rules were, I never handed it back in. I wanted to see what other people’s opinions are on this. I was given this by my employer at a chiropractic office in MI I thankfully got out of in April but I’m still healing from it. I believe it is completely unacceptable that these are requirements given to an employee that’s working for a family owned business, getting paid $17 an hour with no benefits, no health insurance, no HR and was verbally/emotionally/ and sexually harassed on a weekly basis. This Doctor had only 4 people employed at the time and reminded us that we should be grateful for what he “provided” for us. All the while he lives in a 2.1 million dollar home, has multiple vehicles but his main one is an est. $85k truck and thrives on bragging about the multiple vacations, concerts, and other high expense things his family does on a monthly basis. These types of employers are disgusting. I was also written up a day before my wedding, still trying to find documents from that. I have so much content but here’s a starting point. Also the one hour breaks we fought for, when I started we were given 30 minutes and the majority of working days were 12 hour shifts from 6:45am and usually left at 7pm. I’m also absolutely terrified of posting this because employees that left before me were withheld their pay and sued as soon as they left for reasons I was never told. I can only assume this busses will try the same for anyone trying to speak their truth to their experience working there too.
