I painted this little fella with Army Painter Speed Paints 2.0, Vallejo paints, Apple Barrel paints, and Rust-Oleum primer.
I’m so excited for when my DnD party gets to encounter this little fella, they’re currently planning to talk with it when they find their lair.
Looks good! Don’t forget to paint the base! A solid color like black is fine. It’s such a shame when it goes unpainted.
I’m thinking I’ll probably go with a forest floor like look for the base, but I usually struggle painting bases.
Sounds hard to believe but the blankness is intimidating lol
Looks great, good work with the darker undertones. May your party survive (but just barely)
I use Rustoleum primer and speed paints too! They have revolutionized my painting process and I can paint almost twice as many models in the same time now!
Speed paints are great, literally some of my favorite paints
They have sped up my painting by a shit ton
Nice! My party would immediately attempt to adopt this guy. Good luck.
They’re planning to try and convince it to relocate currently, and given their track record so far I think that it may be a possibility
Or at the very least it will find them amusing enough to play along
Love it. I did my green dragon with counter shading (lighter on the underside of the wings, darker from the top) and had a lot of fun with that with an airbrush which I had never used before. Kids loved it when playing Lost Mines of Phandelver. Lots of squealing!
That sounds like a super nice paint job
I’ve been looking at getting an airbrush for a little while now, any recommendations?
No recommendation from me because I don’t have a clue what I’m doing! But I always wanted one and realized that as an adult I could get one and nobody could stop me. 11yo me is pretty proud.
