      The thing is, a person can’t commit mass murder. It requires societal level cooperation

      Clarification: I am talking about the holocaust and other genocides.

          My point is genocides like the Holocaust and the Rwandan genocide are examples of hate and distrust can lead to humans no longer seeing other humans as people. Once that happens society becomes indecent and terrible things happen.

          We should study terrible events like genocide as they show the weaknesses of our entire species

            I think you’re right, but also I think OP was more thinking mass shooters, or maybe serial killers.

          My point is that mass murder is truely terrible in so many ways. It involves a level of hate for another person so large that people no longer have a sense of decency.
