You weirdly got it right.
At least yours is legitimate slang. The comic is just a bunch of buzzwords in regular sentences.

I thought I had a stroke.
What’s a bop? I can’t tell if that’s actual slang or one of the joke ones like WIFI.
Pretty sure they mean a song (alternatively, “bopper”). Specifically an upbeat one that makes you want to dance.
The context of Limewire points to this too.
Yup, exactly
Come on, Hashtag, geotag your retweeeted stream from the app in the cloud. All the cool kids are doing it.
My homies certainly!

Oh god, it’s happening to me
I genuinely don’t understand half the words in this comment
Is this what turning 30 feels like?Man I’m 23 and don’t even know if this is English. Help.
Smash that like button my rizzy. Bet.
“Have you streamed this yet?” Is a phrase I’ve heard real people say when talking directly to a streamer.
I need to know the context of this image.
Farthest back example I could find is this. Apparently it’s from a textbook?
I found this sociology textbook that has unquoted similar text. https://online.flipbuilder.com/jeru/zjef/index.html#p=60
I think one book plagiarized the other.
Or it could be a different edition. Is the image supposed to convey that kids use slang? And is that supposed to be some sort of revelation?
More reasonable and more likely explanation. I wonder if they got rid of the image or added it in a new edition.
have you skibbidied that fanum tax with your rizz?
How the “smart sciency computer people” in 90’s comics and 2000’s cartoons talk.
When I was younger I’d just ramble off a bunch of computer part names and people thought I was the smartest computer nerd in the world. I was like, these are just the parts that make up your computer, dummies.
This is basically just Skwerl but for “young people who are good with computers” slang
Honestly sounds a bit like my management :D
Why can I understand all this
How millennials think young people talk
As a millenial it’s weird how the generations before us are completely tech illiterate, but also the generation after us. Fuck me, the zoomers are getting stepper machines, thinking they’re somehow good and a new thing.
And it is our own fault. We’ve made much of the stuff zoomers are using. By us black boxing everything in order to make it easier, the zoomers have become insanely tech illiterate
It’s weird feeling like we’re sandwiched in the middle of tech illiteracy. Like, yo, I can’t hold the whole tech stack up myself. You guys gotta learn how to “use the Internet” too.
My sister in law is almost 10 years younger and can’t even get Plex running on her Apple TV. Wtf?!
I obviously haven’t tried it but I would not be at all surprised to learn that it was unsupported. I don’t use Plex but I’ve yet to see anything other than an Android TV box support either Jellyfin or Kodi. The companies that make these things are catching on
Shout out to all my Generation X peeps–the first generation to spend our teenage/young adult years on the Internet. We still laugh at our Boomer parents who don’t know anything about technology. Now we kinda roll our eyes and say “whatever” to all the younger folks who think that we don’t either.
There’s no way this image isn’t from 10+ years ago. It’s definitely Boomers writing Millenials
Okay, according wikipedia I’m considered to be an early Millennial. Even I know that this sounds like it was written by a Boomer. The kind of Boomer who owns a phone but turns it off after they’re done with their scheduled phone call because they don’t want to drain the battery.
And then everyone gets mad at them because they’re never reachable and causes problems lmao.
Yeah, you hit the nail on that one!
Bro, I’m GenX and even I know GenZ peeps don’t talk like this.
As a millennial, I’d just like to say… #totes #NapoleonDynamite
You forgot the fortnite dance.
I prefer saying biweekly dance.
