Intel secures $3.25B Israeli gov’t grant to build $25B chip fab in Israel amid ongoing tensions::Intel to build a $25 billion fab in Israel, set to get $3.25 billion in government grants.
Glad I bought AMD
I’m not in the market for a new computer but will definitely avoid Intel.
Even if Intel wasn’t morally bankrupt, I still wouldn’t buy them cause their CPUs have terrible performance/price, terrible performance/watt and are plagued with tons of security issues. The only reason Intel is still able to sell them is because they bribe manufacturers to exclusively use Intel and because the average person doesn’t know any better.
Ah yes, information from 3+ years ago right here.
Gamers Nexus just released a review of Intel’s brand new 14th gen CPUs. You might wanna check that out Greg before loosing an entire paycheck on a bad bet. (That’s a reference to the video)
The overclocked 13th gen chips? Yeah, not worth it. That being said, the gap between Intel 13th gen and Ryzen 7xxx chips is very situational.
Older than that, this seems a bit like click bait, Intel secured a grant to build a chip plant in Israel in 2015. Actually there is a report from Reuters in 2014. This is just reporting on recurring contracts by the looks of it. https://www.reuters.com/article/us-israel-intel-plant-idUSKCN0HH1F720140922/
Intel has had plants in Israel for decades. Back in 2014, a friend got hired by an Intel vendor to work in Israel.
Oh I was commenting about the performance gap and performance per watt gap. It’s mostly usecase specific for each side now.
