DRM in a webpage… and we thought it was bad in games…
Seems like a desperate attempt to boost ad revenue that has been steadily shrinking due to adblockers and the rise of LLMs.
Google engineers should stop obeying and move elsewhere to do the right thing
Correction: “Google management wants to make ad- blocking (near) impossible”
Anybody know where pi hole fits into this?
From high level reading, this seems centered on attestation of the HW and SW rendering content on a device. Since a pihole is not visible to the device, I hope this means it would still work? Someone with more knowhow ready to weigh in?
Pihole uses DNS, this shouldn’t affect Pihole.
Put another way: a pihole will not help you here.

Hello, is there the Cartel Office?
Goog–nope it’s a scam, there ripping us off somehow. It’s bad for us goodnfor them. So naturally it’s going to pass through.
These fucking 9-5 idiots have no idea that what they are creating is an IP which will be Googles and these idiots will get fired or made redundant once google got what it wants. That’s why management gets paid in millions and 9-5 bitches may be max 200k-500k max.
