Don’t worry, it actually remains in the USA. Part of it is money that was already spent decades ago for equipment that supposed to be retired, the other part is being put into US economy as the USA is producing those weapons.

Also it is rounding error compared to the money spend for healthcare, infrastructure and student loan debt relief: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_federal_budget#/media/File%3A2022_US_Federal_Budget_Infographic.png

Every cent we spend in Ukraine is arguably the best return on investment the US has ever had. With no US casualties we have effectively purchased the decimation of our enemies military and crippled their ability to wage any meaningful military action for decades.

Had Putin been successful in Ukraine he would already be setting about plans for the next bullshit excuse to invade the next nation. We played games with Hitler and conceded nation after nation only to find out that he had no intention of ever stopping. These men are all the same.

We can have a conversation about the billions of dollars wasted by the US government every year, this is not one of those instances.

Yes, it’s actually rather low considering the threat of Fascism sweeping across the EU. Russia will not stop at Ukraine, and Putin has been shoring up his new Axis for years. His crown jewel will be the US handed over on a gold platter by the next Republican administration.

Trump already gifted Putin a US military base in Syria for his birthday in 2019 and took upon himself to surrender Afghanistan to the Taliban through a perfect and beautiful deal he ‘negotiated’ without including the Afghanis.

Putin is hell-bent on reforming the old Russian Empire and becoming tzar before he dies. He knows he doesn’t have long to accomplish this.

If he isn’t soundly defeated soon, he may start another global war. Nobody – excepting billionaires and the insane – wants that horror. Appeasement never works.
