Note 12 cant hear social media calls, but they can hear me

i have a redmi note 12 phone, speaker is working,

normal calls are also working, but when I call using whatsapp or Instagram, I cant hear them, but they can hear me…

normal calls are working fine thoo…this is frustrating. Can someone help me please…

They said the people on other side can hear them but they can’t hear anything so I think microphone is fine but maybe something with volume settings? Definitely needs a lot more trial and error with other audio devices, checking media and so on.
