I got so bored by it, that I didn’t finish the first episode.
Iirc the first episode hits that ground sprinting. Doesn’t it literally start with a Titan attack and the mom dying?
Not sure how you could be bored by that.
Animoo arguably features more tropes, than any other pieces of “cinema”. After a while you no longer see the movie/series, but certain tropes. You know “oh, a redhair character, she’s gonna be Asuka #34786348568475”, or “oh, the frail school student, let me guess, Ikari Shinji #89475986759856” and you think to yourself: gee, I wonder how they are going to apply this version of Asuka and Shinji and what are going be their deviations to the original trope.
Said tropes are either connected and presented in a fun, often original way, or bland and boring. For me, Attack on Titan falls into the latter category.
I love anime, but I think you’ve watched a little too much
Not really. There are still titles that I enjoy very much and am surprised by their story/worldbuilding.
It’s just that tropes are usually too easy to recognize and predict.
- The protagonist, young horny male is invited/allowed/ordered to live in the apartment of his older supervisor/superior. To spice things up, an energetic, AD-HD like character, that might be also a young female, also lands in the same place… Some drama and comical situations are not optional.
That really doesn’t sound like AOT at all tbh
Man this truly is an unpopular opinion. Curious, what anime does someone who thinks the best anime there is sucks actually think is good?
You’re doing it wrong.
All anime or manga series suck. The only good ones are graphic novels and movies
It’s basically, “Lets see who dies randomly today? Is it the newish character?”
that sure is unpopular, this hit me in places my dad’s belt couldn’t. but thinking back, the first season was not entirely the greatest to be honest. that was in fact why I didn’t look too well at attack on Titan. but the subsequent seasons were fantastic. i just really don’t like what they did with the very last episodes that are “coming out”. I can see why it’s not for everyone, but I suggest giving it another shot, if you stopped at season 1. if you didn’t, then that’s it, I guess.
