Good story. It sucks the guy has to resort to wearing a go pro to capture these fools… But this isn’t politics in any way. It’s a story about racism in a small neighborhood with no reference to any political party, policy or representative. Not sure why it’s in this community

Politics is “the activities associated with the governance of a country or other area, especially the debate or conflict among individuals or parties having or hoping to achieve power.”

This definitely strikes me as a conflict among individuals having or hoping to achieve power.

While I do think racism has a strong root in politics and politically suppressing the “other”, I think the purpose of this community is more news oriented and less intellectual than that. Is this story tied to politics? Sure. Is it strictly political in nature? Not really.

Agreed. While I do think there’s a political component to this story, I haven’t found a viable general news community on Lemmy, unfortunately. Would have been happy to post there, too.

If you have found a good news community, feel free to let me know.

It’s a political topic which is racial relations in the United States. Politics is more that just laws and politicians. This is Politics at a local level that effects how Americans view their nation.
