Values and artists get a fairly large chunk of the fees
Ticketmaster’s real service is being the bad guy to take the heat off venue’s and artists
Here’s the stupid dumb secret:
Nobody actually has to be the bad guy.
The role of “bad guy” is just stealing.
If nobody is in that role, then …
… you don’t get your stuff stolen.
I should have been more clear. I was referring to the service that TM provides to said venues and artists. Obviously they don’t really provide a real service for consumers
Sure, but also:
If you have a band,
and someone says “I’ll be the bad guy for your band”
… they’re just gonna be the bad guy.
Your band isn’t actually gonna win anything.
You’re just gonna have a bad guy in charge.
