    So PRNDS has me confused. Bc obviously it’s

    P - park

    R - reverse

    N - neutral

    D - drive

    S - sport

    What I don’t get is like why it’s there if it doesn’t show any of them selected

    Like what would be its purpose/how is nothing selected if it does serve a purpose

      When you start the car, there is a moment where all lights turn on to make sure they work. This could be this moment.

      Quick Google reveals it means “sport”…and I’m a CVT transmission…why am I having a hard time believing this…

        Cause people are idiots and think their car is broken if it doesn’t shift. So auto manufacturers have responded by inserting fake shifts to reduce the complaints from uninformed buyers, reducing efficency and defeating the entire purpose of a CVT! They even put paddle shifters on the things!
