The game is supposed to be an ominous and foreboding ARPG, and instead I run across BgButzzzz6nine, or I start moving towards some creatures on the other side of my screen, and before I’ve taken two steps some Necromancer and undead horde come buzzsawing through the area like a scythe, and I have to try and find someplace where I can actually kill things. The isolated feel was a key point of the game, and added to the ambiance and feel of the game. Now, I can’t go 2 minutes without getting that immersion ruined by some random intrusion by another player. Is there some way to not be surrounded by other people while playing the game?

You’re not wrong, seeing some the silly names is a bit jarring, especially when Blizzard didn’t put in an Map overlay like in prior games because “it breaks immersion”.

This shit is beyond annoying especially because their pin system fucking sucks. Half the time you have to go into one of those narrow corridor cave areas to find a dungeon it tells you to go the wrong way so you’re outside of the area completely.

With out the map over lay, I find my self constantly opening the map to make sure I’m not going the wrong way when I back track to get an unexplored area. It’s crappy that the pin system doesn’t do the GPS line in dungeons, that would be helpful.

Now that we’re on the topic of things that take us out of the immersion, has anyone else noticed the huge number of enemies who spawn in by crawling out of the ground? Skeletons, sure, huge insects, sure, but a fucking grizzly bear!? Bandits just climbing out of solid ground, it’s jarring.

Yeah! And the fact that you even have to use it in the first place to track mission objectives is just dumb. GPS should automatically be on for your currently tracked quest. That’s like…what it means for something to be “tracked” in almost every other game.
