What really gets me about the dumb AI is that it even extends to your companions. The punk rock rooster you get is basically pointless because it can’t reliably target enemies, so it just stands around getting shot at by the AI. And it seems like they tried to fix common exploits by doing stuff like giving every NPC enemy an instant knock-you-on-your-ass-and-take-all-your-health melee attack that you can’t do shit about and making it so that the enemies are weirdly bullet spongey unless you use the right type of ammo.
