It is all about your “zoning laws” (change them first) Weakest traffic participants in traffic (pedestrians and bicycle riders) are protected by law We had 2 “situations in the 70ties that helped” OPEC oil crisis => (car-free Sunday) “Stop de kindermoord action” => Stop killing of children (at least a few 100/year were killed) We didn’t change overnight, but the first things were done mid 80ties. My 2cts.
