Well, seeing as how it no longer lets me log into the site on mobile- it says ‘invalid username or password,’ even though the exact same username and password works on their shitty app- I guess they’d have to make the logged-out experience work better.
I’d go back if they redesign it good.
Just joking fuck you u/spez
I would go back if the restore api access for this party apps, so we don’t have to look at the sorry excuse of layout on their website.
Nah bro. They would just restrict the APIs again after 3 months or so when they think people forgot.
I would need: Spez out, roll back of 3rd party and other malicious updates, cancel the IPO.
In other words, I’m making Lemmy/Kbin my home now.
Using the official Android app is painful. I uninstalled it right away as it was so frustrating to use, but using old.reddit.com on mobile is even *more *frustrating. I’d like to drop Reddit entirely but there’s a few subreddits that I enjoy.
You’d go back to reddit while spez is still in charge? 😱
If my biggest issue is resolved, then yes. I don’t have problem with stupid people, just with stupid decisions.
Ah I see. I view spez as not stupid but terminally selfish (obviously not mutually exclusive tho) so I have different priorities. Thanks for explaining! :)
The enshittification deepens.
This is the social network’s second update rollout for the logged-out experience this year. In March, it made the pages screen reader friendly along with making the webpages cleaner.
First, no it didn’t. Second, how much if this is copied and pasted from their PR team? Lastly, what is this 80 Accessibility score on the new homepage.
Both Reddit and Techcrunch need to do better.
Also >4s LCP, lol performance
80 Accessibility score on the new homepage.
It’s worth pointing out that score of 80/100 is the result of an automated scan, which currently can catch no more than 40% of all potential accessibility issues. The remaining 60% (it’s likely higher than this btw) can only be detected manually using a screen reader and keyboard only (for keyboard accessibility, as some people are able to use only the keyboard). The accessibility problem with Reddit is much worse than is being reported.
Both Reddit and Techcrunch need to do better.
They do, and the way they continue to mistreat their disabled users, even after meeting with them to discuss these issues, indicates they don’t care.

80 accessibility score
ok, is r/blind still moderated solely by sighted people?
If this post from !main 8 days ago is still up to date, I would assume that it has to be. Unless they’ve found someone who has enough vision to get around the AT issues they list in there.
So, probably?
[x] Doubt
I mean there may be improvements, but I really doubt it’s their main goal at this point.
Fuck Spez, haven’t been back since Apollo died.
10 hours a week to less than 5 minutes. 🖕Reddit
I’ve gone back a few times since boost died, but that’s mostly because Google search sucks without adding “Reddit” to a lot of my search queries.
Old reddit is always available, well until Spez decides to delete that for whatever reason
The mobile site, however, still shows an annoying popup asking users if they want to open a post in the app, as many users pointed out under the announcement post.
So the page looks prettier while harassing you to download the ad and tracker infested app? That’s EXACTLY the improvement everybody was waiting for!
This is available for everyone since a long time: https://sh.reddit.com/
lmao, how can they make a website so slow, this is dedication
