I’m surprised to see you have a comment history, since you posted this comment ten seconds after I posted this link, but I’ll ask anyway, since I’m not sure anybody is going to check my report.

What company do you think you’re telling people to avoid?

It’s probably a bot, and it’s probably referring to the affiliate link for Squarespace that you literally posted right under the video

that’s a strange comment to leave on the post itself.

I’m sure most people here know what an ad is.

there’s also a video. the video isn’t spam. Did anybody think about the non-ad parts of the post?

I think this is crap, to be honest. There are plenty of high end designers (eg esther perbandt, who works almost exclusively in black, Christian Siriano who does a lot of all black looks) who do absolutely amazing looks in all black. They’re fashion but also wearable.

I’m not going to bother watching the video because I think it’s an affiliate link that’s just monetizing clicks, but a very surface level of exposure to fashion designers over the last decade show that the over enthusiastic, all caps headline is just wrong.

Color is great, color is fun. A lot of my wardrobe is insane with colors. But to make a blanket statement like that just seems naive. All black is a statement look, just like wild colors and patterns are. It just comes down to a look that suits you and fits what you’re trying to put out there.

“I think this is crap, but I don’t even know what this is, I’m not going to watch the video, or any video made by anybody who wants to earn a living making videos, but I’m sure as shit going to criticize the videos I don’t watch!”

No, I’m saying it’s clickbait trash by someone who knows less about fashion than I do, and I’m just a scientist who happens to follow fashion in his spare time.

and I’m saying it’s astoundingly stupid for somebody to think he can say that based on a video he didn’t watch. like, truly astounding. like, how a person could be so stupid really has me scratching my head, let alone so stupid as to double down on it.

if you don’t want to watch the video, don’t watch it. I installed sponsorblock and enjoyed it just fine, as I do many of his videos, but, silly me, I actually care what people have to say, and not just who sponsored their videos.

And if I see a video that says it shows the seven truths that prove creationism or that the earth is flat, I’m not going to waste my time, but might post that it’s idiotic without watching it because I know it’s idiotic without watching it.

see, you’re a scientist, and in your spare time you pretend you understand culture as though it is composed of true and false statements instead of jokes told to frame advice for building better outfits.

the headline doesn’t say “Why Siriano’s Designs Look Bad,” do we need a lesson in reading comprehension? The caps lock and the second-person phrasing should make the tone clear to anybody with a sense of humor, did you never develop one of those? Did you miss my concept reminding people that this is a humor channel? Did you ever think that maybe the video could explain why some all black outfits are bad and why other all black outfits are good?

did any of that occur to you at all?

Minimalists think all black clothes are great, then again something as vain as fashion doesn’t really do much for anyone.

Remember that Frugal Aesthetic is a comedic channel for humorous jokes, and that taking this video seriously is morally wrong.

I don’t think anyone’s actually watching the video dude. I think they’re all down voting you because of the spam links in your post
