I read a Reddit discussion some years back in which an oncologist was discussing whether some breakthrough or another was a “cure for cancer”, and someone asked him if he was worried about being put out of a job if cancer was cured. He responded rather vigorously that he would dearly love to be put out of a job by cancer being cured, that it was his dream to be left unemployed in such a manner.

I’m sure he’s very happy reading headlines like this.
