In all honesty, I wasn’t quite sure what to post here when I created this community last year in June, mostly expecting that people would be interested in participating themselves.

Is there any kind of content you’d like to see here? Should I attempt to mirror posts from the Bloodborne subreddit (if anything worthwhile even exists at this point)? Anything else?

I’m a little at a loss here and feel like it’d be quite a pity if Bloodborne didn’t take off here on Lemmy at all, so I’m open to any and all input you guys might have.

Peace ✌🏻

Unfortunately, I’m not sure how to help. It’s a community focused on a 9 year old game on a platform with significantly fewer users than the big-name ones. The Bloodborne subreddit was not exactly active (before I left). The only things I could imagine being useful would be:

    1. Updates from reliable sources on a potential port
    2. Updates on PS4 emulation and the emulator(s) compatibility with Bloodborne
    3. Meaningful discussion about build ideas and prospects
    4. Mirrored posts and subsequently local discussion about the community revival days (Return to Yarnham)
    5. Useful/fun chalice dungeon codes and one’s experience with them

Most of these are unfortunately very infrequent. The interim posts usually end up being some variation of “Bloodborne good” or “Remake when?” or “Why Bloodborne so hard?” posts that honestly bring little meaningful engagement.

Thanks for the input, means a lot.

The thing is, I was mostly a lurker back on Reddit, so if I wound up seeing something new concerning Bloodborne, I’d mostly hear it from the subreddit. Given the same points you mentioned (age of the game, mostly), there aren’t a whole lot of YouTubers who focus their content on Bloodborne only to an extent where mirroring their videos, opinions etc. would be worthwhile, I feel like. Especially if it’s more “commonly known” facts that most people already know.

Honestly, I’d welcome these mundane posts even. Anything at this point, really. I feel like as a mod and creator of a community, however, it’s their responsibility to get the ball rolling with posts, ideas, community management and the like which I’m not really sure how to do. Especially considering that I’m sorta cut off from the mothership (the subreddit), circling back to my previous point.

I’ll keep your suggestions in mind, though, and will see if I can cook something up. Maybe ask around on other communities and see if they have any tips.

      Thanks again!

I certainly could use a NPC quest line guide. I can never remember who I’m supposed to talk to and when.

Any specific quest lines you’re particularly interested in? I’m asking since there are a lot

I did find a 100% completionist guide for Bloodborne on /r/bloodborne. It should cover the side character questlines too. Here’s the link to it (I know it’s Reddit, but for now, maybe let’s leave it at that): https://www.reddit.com/r/bloodborne/comments/5e1sot/completionist_guide/

Maybe I’ll make a separate post about the contents sometime, just copying and pasting it over, as to not give Reddit more traffic than needed. Or you can also do it if you want to!
