A debris field has been discovered within the search area by an ROV near the Titanic, the US Coast Guard has just announced.
Experts within the unified command are evaluating the information.

This makes me wonder what the banging they heard was.
I saw on one of the lives ( https://news.sky.com/story/titanic-sub-search-live-banging-picked-up-by-sonar-devices-deployed-by-canadian-air-force-12905748 or https://www.bbc.com/news/live/world-us-canada-65967464 ) that they determined that this was just “oceanic background noise” (from other ships at sea or something i guess).
