My point of view is maybe a bit strange: I was 22 years old when the film came out. Of those 22 years, I was a little Batman fan for at least 17 years. I loved the whole saga, the series, the movies, and Batman was a huge hero to me.
This film degraded my hero in my eyes. He wasn’t nearly as cool as the Joker. In every scene you rightly waited for Ledger to come and say a cool line.
This film revolved around the terrific performance of Heath Ledger. Unfortunately, as an old Batman fan, it wasn’t mine.
