Watching two old guys determine who should be president based on their golf handicaps
It doesn’t feel like a bad idea atm
CNN is running a bunch of travel ads like they realize people watching this are going to be looking for an exit.
Biden up there looking like his own ghost
New bit idea: whenever someone reaches a net worth in the 9 figures or above, they get a state-appointed scientist to follow them to meetings and interviews and loudly shout them down whenever they make an indefensible prediction (this is a lot nicer than my preferred bit idea)
It would be nice if we had the same, but we’d have to somehow break the duopoly to get it passed in the first place. I’m not sure how that would be feasible without a massive tilt toward a viable third party in the existing system, which seems like a remote possibility.
Currently reading The Saint of Bright Doors. It’s written as an allegory for the ethnoreligious conflict in Sri Lanka. I’m not done yet, but currently have mixed feelings. The writing style is good but there’s a long chapter in the middle that doesn’t seem to have much purpose beyond describing conditions in prison camps. It doesn’t impact the plot at all and has some continuity breaks (there’s a weird reference to huts being UN blue despite this occurring on a magical fantasy supercontinent that has not been described as having anything resembling a United Nations).
I like low fantasy magical realism where things are intentionally left vague and there isn’t a magic system with a detailed alternate physics, so I’m still reading.
Being able to distinguish between things the Biden admin has paid lip service to and the things the Biden administration has actually meaningfully changed challenge. Level: Easy, Result: Abject Failure
I get that they’re both bad options and not wanting to vote for a guy supporting a genocide,
Isn’t this reason enough? If we don’t draw the line at genocide, where do we draw the line?
Thank you very much!
Any chance you have some links handy? I just had an argument with my brother about this issue but didn’t have any sources.

That’s what balsamic vinegar is for
Eventually I’m going to get my brother to stop listening to Jordan Peterson. I need to believe that.

You don’t need to worry about light, but you do need to think about the growing medium. Mushrooms need a lot of carbon rich material to grow and fruit. You could look into straw-in-bucket culture for oyster mushrooms if you wanted to produce a large amount.
No prob!
“Erd” is short for “euphorbia reconnaissance and discovery.” Essentially it’s a tree on top of a hidden base for a team that specializes in locating and identifying rare spurges.
