There’s a remake of Crest of the Stars manga that gets updated once every 1 or 2 years.
I don’t know if it’s still running or not. But damm i loved the concept and visual style. There’s also some books, and old anime and the original manga but I’m somewhat afraid of consuming them at this point.
Try thinking of it like the United States. Each instance (lemmy.ml, lemmy.world, kbin, beehaw, etc) is its own separate ‘state’ with its own rules and regulations.
This isn’t the best example, american states basically have to play with the same rules for the most part, and can’t leave the union. keeping the analogu, the closest one could be the EU I think, especially with the Beehaw situation.
I hope they get addressed soon.
I’m worried, not all but large enough group of Reddit users are already deleting their account, and with that are gone years of knowledge and good answer threads using the tool that retroactively edits your comments.
They have their full right, of course, but it will be a net loss for the future.
Ah, that I can agree. For one second I expected some kind of past controversy.
Yes, totally. Searchign and suscribing to other communities and instances it’s a but cumbersome. Hell, even on Jerboa if I open the “name” of other instances it will try to open it in a browser.
Otherwise, as long as people keep comenting and bringing content this seems a good place.
The folks over at r/RedditAlternatives don’t seem to be liking the idea of the Fediverse (Lemmy, Kbin, etc) all that much.
Do you know why?
I would have loved this back in university
