I recently started reading ‘Stassi State or Socialist Paradise’, anyone have thoughts? I don’t know nearly as much as I’d like about post-war Europe and its socialist efforts.

I think one of the elements you’re missing here is that not even “liberals” expect any meaningful condemnation of violence from the right.
